May 3 we were up at 4 a.m. PST, flew back from Florida and Joe picked us up at the airport at 3:30 p.m. We then rested for 10 minutes and I went off to Church. By the time we were finished and unpacked it was close to one in the morning and we were up for 21 hours-WHEW what a day.
The ANOINTING IS TRANSFERABLE!!! That is the message of Florida from Todd Bentley and from everyone we met. When they had the line for anointing senior pastors, it must have been over 1000 deep. Our goal is to stir up the fire and release the healing and that is exactly what is happening. At the beginning of service, Theresa had a word that everyone is to intensify their prayer for Linda and myself to receive more of the anointing and because of the expected retribution. I thank all of you who pray.
As we worshiped, we explained that we are committed to pray for the sick and the anointing began to get heavier and heavier. We were singing “God is My Redeemer” as waves and waves of glory began to overtake us through the room. We asked for those who had heat/power coming from their hands and there were about a dozen that came forward. The rest of the people lined up and received prayer from each of those in line. We will be setting up a special page on the Blog to document the healings.
With the youth, I gave them a homework assignment. A major key to our walk with the Lord is to know where in His Word He has us. In other words, it is impossible for the entire Bible to become part of our life so He feeds us either verses or chapters at a time. The assignment was to seek the Lord to know what is the verse/chapter that He is working into their life now.
On our trip to Florida, I read an absolutely fascinating book entitled The Told Me Their Stories from the Azusa Street revival. http://www.amazon.com/They-Told-Me-Their-Stories/dp/0977968804 It was an interview of a young man who lived with many of those who were central figures at Azusa Street. The young people prior to service would look for those who came in to the building sick, infirmed and in wheelchairs to pray for their healing even before things began. They would almost compete together to see who could have the most people healed on any given day. One day a lady brought in over 30 deaf people from a special home where they lived and learned sign language etc. He asked her if she was willing to be out of a job. She said sure and everyone of the deaf received their hearing. AMAZING!
The way I see it from a more modern sense would be from the movie The Lord of the Rings where Gimli and Legolas would compete to see how many demonic Orks they could slay faster. I see this happening with our youth that there will be such a hunger and zeal that they will be running after the sick to see the glory of God heal and deliver.
Another amazing image from the book is that the glory of God would be so thick that the children could play hide and seek in the cloud. Nevertheless, neither wind nor other physical means could disperse the cloud - WOW Come Holy Spirit Come
What the Lord spoke to me of my example of humility and seeking Him is that I am to wear a blindfold so that my focus is fully on Him and nothing else.
